What this project is
A simple road-safety message: slow down where it matters. We create free printable posters and encourage people to take a pledge to drive more carefully in residential areas, near schools, and at high-risk locations.
What this project isn't
We're not a registered charity. We don't claim to be experts. We don't lobby for policy changes. We're just trying to make slowing down feel more normal.
Funding
This site is funded by:
- Voluntary PayPal donations from supporters
- Personal funds from the project creator
Donations cover:
- Domain registration (slowdown.co.uk)
- Web hosting costs
- Time spent creating new poster designs
Data & privacy
We collect minimal data:
- Pledge counter uses a simple database (no personal info stored)
- Contact form messages are stored temporarily and deleted after response
- We don't use tracking cookies or analytics
- We don't sell or share any data
